I seem to remember a *real* test of an OM4Ti, involving a tour in a
 carpet-clad tumble-tryer as well as an extended stay near the ventilation
 exhaust of a sand-blazing-factory. IIRC,it also involved a trip to both the
 freezer and the oven (although not at very hot), in short order. 

The 4Ti was then serviced by some repair-tec, who found it to be ugly, but
 in perfect functioning condition.

Perhaps this would be the way to get the sought-after patina on your body?
 (OM or otherwise....)

I saw the above somewhere some years back, but haven't checked validity of
 the test (could've been aprils fool?). Try at your own risk....
