Thanks George, I'll do some hunting for details.
BTW:- what's with the F8? Do you mean "F8 & don't be late"?? <g, g>

BTW folks, before I bid I asked him if there were any problems with the
camera. Here's Daniel Silber's response.

Yes, I know I got it at a good price, but usually if the price isn't good I
won't
buy. Maybe I seem like a cheapskate, but I figure that if bargain sales are to
be found, why not me too? I didn't invent the auction system, and sellers
enter the system knowing how it works, make their choices about how they
want to present their item, and it's all on. The item still must be as
described, no matter what the price is. That's the system. Otherwise we
might as well all go home. He is not a new seller, and I DID show him why
he had little to be afraid of selling overseas. Maybe even less than selling
locally, because if I lived in the USA I'd probably make an eBay dispute of it
for sure. Postal costs weigh into my calculations as also do the estimate for
repair cost..

Incidentally, his packing comprised a few layers of scrunched-up newsprint
in a cardboard carton. Nothing fancy, not to your usual standard. Not even a
plastic bag around the body and lens as I recall. Seemed to work OK over all
those thousands of miles - probably thanks to the USPS and NZ-Post careful
workers.

As I said, I look forward with interest to see how the repair works out.
