Pest Patrol and Ad-aware I believe are manufactured by two different
companies. I used Pest Patrol once to get rid of a specific pesky little
peice of spyware which ad-aware and spybot could not clean up.
The best way to keep these buggers out of your PC is not to visit those
obscure or porn sites and be cautious when a window pop-up. People often
click the pop-ups without thinking and they end up clicking "yes" or "ok".
Just use caution and only visit the sites you know are clean.

Not sure if they all work at the same level or not. I first tried Ad-aware
v6 based on the warm recommendation of Steve Gibson. It seemed to do the
job so I bought the licensed version, which is PestPatrol. Works as billed.
Just wish I could stop this junk from clogging my computer to begin with.
