Walt,
But you are already a man of parts! And I loved Soylent Green as a
teenager. Here's a major manufacturer's info on their gelatin,
including the photo-grade stuff:

At least they say the animals are fit for human consumption rather
than late from human company.
We have an ornery 17 year-old puss who just lost a leg to cancer and a
good surgeon (he's got Poppy Bush's thank-you note for helping their
dog in his office). She's feisty only one week after surgery. But
we'll either bury her or have her cremated when she's gone. Just hate
the idea of unlucky pets being mixed into the mess so someone can make
a buck off them. Not to mention serious questions as to where your
Jello or the glycerin in your toothpaste really come from.
But I'm sure Tibetans would see the point. Don't they tear apart their
dead on a rocky mountain side so birds can come and eat them? I
vaguely recall some gruesome, but somewhat wholesome photos of one
such sky-burial.
OTOH, there's always Dali and Halsman's In Voluptate Mors to admire
(<http://www.poster-pictures.com/064-Poster-Pictures-In-Voluptate-Mors
-Skull.html>).
