Typical AT-X model of the late 80s-early 90s, very nicely built and
finished metal construction. I bought it to make up a theoretical fast,
light kit with the AT-X 24-40/2.8 and a 50/1.4. I haven't used it that
way yet, just took a few pics of our cat to make sure it was working
properly.

I posted some pics
<http://www.geocities.com/dreammoose/AT-X60-160/index.htm>. These are
just the 1900 dpi scans I get from the photo shop when I get a roll
developed. I didn't take the time (yet?) to scan them myself at 2720
dpi, but I think you can get a pretty good idea from them. The first 2
sets are slightly cropped frames with extracted full pixel pieces. On
the first one, I didn't quite nail focus on the eye, but, like the
others, you can see pretty clearly the plane of cofus and the DOF.
Number 5 is to show bokeh. The last 2 are a full frame shot and a full
pixel detail. Wish I could tell you all the techie details, but i was
just fooling around and didn't record anything.

Really hard to say what price should be for such a seldom seen animal. I
thik it depends a lot on whether there is somebody out there looking
when one comes up. I'm not sure if I was the only bidder, but there
certainly wasn't a lot of action when I got it about a year ago for
about $80 with shipping. The 24-40/2.8 was about $190, and listed for
$558 new back in 1992. I don't know what the new price of the 60-120
was, but it's likely in the Modern review.

Great! I never could find out much about this lens. I bought it anyway,
'cause I have been very happy with other AT-Xs and the price was right.
Now that I look closer at the pics, I think I did just fine!
