1. Small, light walk-around lens with excellent optics and some close
focus. Just got a 55mm, 2 element close-up lens* for it, but haven't
tried it yet.
2. Light and fast. Perfect with Viv 2x MacroTeleconverter as 1:1 macro
100/2.8
3. Lovely close up images with great working distance.

1. Anything
2. a. Anyhing with low light. b. Little things.

1. Tough choice vs. the 35-70/3.5-4.5. Love the size of the shorter one,
the reach of the longer one.
2. 50/1.8 miJ is as good a lens, but if the point is speed, why no take
the faster one.
3. Closest thing I have is the Kiron 100/2.8. Kiron wins on going past
1:2 without bellows, Zuiko wins on working distance and bokeh.

1. Many mid-range zooms in the 28/35-70/80/85/105/135/200/210
categories. I've written long posts about this search for the perfect
all around zoom before.

Only other major brands lenses I have are old Nikk*rs. I assume they are
comparable to similar vintage Zuikos, but virtually never use them. The
flip side is that many 3rd party lenses are as good as many Zuikos. In a
few cases, Zuiko isn't even close, like the Tamron/Tokina 80-200/2.8s. I
also have the Tokina 50-250 rather than the Zuiko because of the huge
difference in close focus/macro capabilities and the Tamron 35-105/2.8
rather than the Zuiko 35-80/2.8 for the equivalent performance with more
reach for lots fewer $$.

* B-Macro H.Q. Converter f=40cm. Funny thing, Oly only made single
element close-up lenses for the OM lenses, but added 2 element ones for
the IS series.
