Pretty risky purchase since the seller stated that a repair shop was
unable to solve the problem. Let's hope that the repair person was
incompetent with OM-4's because otherwise, the most likely reason it was
not repairable is that some needed part (like the main circuit) was not
available. In the case of the main circuit, even if you can find one
from a donor body it's not economical to replace it.
In the meantime you can try replacing the batteries with fresh silver
oxide batteries (although that should have been the first thing the
repair person tried) or you can try tightening the screws on the bottom
plate. When loose they may make an intermittent electrical connection.
Nice cosmetic shape. Let's hope the main circuit is OK.
