I've only fondled the E1 in shops, but it seems like a nice tool. I have a
question, however, if you don't mind....Skip and other E1-owners....
The two wheels on the front and back, respectively, I assume are for setting
apeture and shutter. For my (otherwise large) hands and fingers, I did not
manage to comfortably "thumble" the thumbwheel on the back - it seemed too
far towards the center of the body and caused me to have to move the right
hand to reach. Granted, I only tried for a few tenths of minutes, but the
"ergonomics" of the E1 didn't seem obvious to me. Ergonomics was my primary
reason for choosing OM and later Pentax, and will likely be a primary
concern when deciding on DSLR.
Could either of you E1-owners comment on how the camera handles? I am sure
that my short exposure did not give me a reasonable impression, but the
shop wouldn't let me take it out for a test-run.... :(
Thanks guys,
