The F280 has three modes:
Super FP when used with 3/4T(i) - and 707/77
Normal T-series when used with 2n, 2S(P), 4, 40, PC as well as 3/4T(i)
Manual when used with any other camera
The F280 seems not have the photocell that the T series flashes have, and
consequently cannot operate as a stand alone auto flash, which is what you
would need for the 1(MD, n). So it is back to working out the guide numbers
- go on, it will do you good!

Speaking of flashers... Will the F280 work (on auto mode, not TTL) with the
"fix" shoe on an OM-1MD?
I want to be able to use the F280 for FP flash on an OM-4ti, but not have to
carry two flashes if I'm using the OM-1 as a back-up...
