With respect to "other lens characteristics" it must be that they no longer like the warm rendition of the OM mount Zuikos ;-). In the previously referenced comparison between the OM 50mm f/1.8 and the digital Zuiko 14-54mm zoom the only significant discernable difference was the warm vs. cool rendering of the image.
