Hi! New member to this list but old time OM user who has decided to get back to the basics. But I have a small problem that I hope others on this list can help me with. I just bought a M1 with a 55mm 1.2 but on my way home the light meter stopped working. Not a major problem as I have warranty but what I need to find out is how uncommon are M1 compared to OM1. I am afraid that a repair will cost more than I paid for the camera and that the shop will want to exchange it for a OM1. So if anyone can advise me as to the value of a M1 as opposed to a OM1 I would appreciate it. Will it be to my advantage to try to keep the M1? Even if it ends upp costing me a bit more than an exchange OM1? Thanks in advance for any help!
