Hey all,
I have been asked to do some more serious pictures of a friends 4 month old
Boxer puppy and I am looking for some advice on technique. I am not aiming for
the 'Olan Mills' pretty studio shots, more a a character document if you wish.
Suggestions on situational stuff would be great.
I was just trying some stuff today since my friend had the dog at work and he
(the dog) seems a little shy of lenses close up so I am figuring I am going to
get the best by using 90+ lenses.
I have access to the following:
90mm Tamron f2.5
100mm f2.8 Zuiko
135mm f3.5 Zuiko
200mm f5 Zuiko
75-150 f4 Zuiko
>From the speeds of most of the above lenses I am guessing out and about is a
>better choice of location. Though inside with the faster lenses might happen.
>I am not sure if I want to try flash with a dog I don't know. I have wider
>lenses (24/28/35/50) if anyone has a specific recommendation, I will probably
>bring at least the 28 and 50 anyway.
Suggestions for film are welcome. I shoot XP2 for 400 in B&W but am thinking I
can use a slower film for this shoot maybe Delta 100. For color I have been
shooting Fuji NPS 160 of late and enjoying it.
Thanks to all in advance.
