Dan,
I came home and checked to be sure. I have the Tamron 2X that requires an
Adapter. It fits on the back of the lens after the adapter is taken
off. I don't know if you will be able to use the 90mm as a regular lens if
you go the extension tube route. When I add the 2X I get a 200mm F 4.8
that focuses from macro to infinity. There is a scale on the extender that
tells me the actual F stop as well. I keep an adapter on the 2X as well as
on the 90mm lens. When I want to combine them I only have to take off the
adapter on the 90mm and attach the 2X.
