Pretty awful at 1.2. Still a few 'donuts' at 2.8. I dont like it 'till
f4. I might like the background a bit more OOF, but don't like the
donuts wider open.
There appears to be a chain link fence in front of the lower part of the
background which acts as a filter that gives a different OOF appearance
than above, particularly at 1.2-2.8. So don't be fooled, look at the top
part of the background. to evaluate bokeh. Bokeh is pretty good by 2.8
with the filter. Anybody going to carry around a fence to improve their
bokeh?
Thanks for the interesting samples, Graham. Now can you duplicate it
with a 50/1.8 miJ and a 50/1.4 >1,100,000? :-)
