Oly's web pages look pretty confused on this. The only flashes shown as
part of the E system are the FL-20 and FL-50. There is no mention of
the FL-40 from the E-10/20. However, given that the FL-20 is (I think)
usable on most if not all of Oly's digital cameras there has to be some
degree of compatibility. I suspect that the FL-50 may have some
functions that are unique to the E-1.
Ah! I just dawned on me after looking at the E-20 accessories and
finding the FL-20 and FL-50 and not the FL-40. It would appear that the
FL-40 has been replaced by the FL-50. So, yes, it would appear that
they are at least mostly compatible.
