I think you meant "yes", Bill, in which case the problem is that AOL's
mailer is sending (as well as HTML formatting code) HTML/UNI-coded
characters, some of which can't be represented as plain text - but in
stripping out all the formatting code from the HTML, the listmanager
software *is* able to 'represent' some of those characters. Thus "nbsp"
indicates Non-Breaking Space.
Unfortunately, I have never used AOL (cue: wry grin to signify 'irony'), so
I don't know how you can go from here *if* you have to retain AOL, but want
to strip out the odd characters. But at that point I think we are in danger
of going over old ground, so I suggest we all just ignore the matter!
