The meter needle upon first picking up the camera jumps all over the place
and one of the things I thought of was a bad ground. I also thought that
something may be interfering with its movement, because when you set the focus
for a
close distance, the meter needle always drops and stays put, when you move the
focus to a far distance, the needle behaves like its suddenly released, and
swings up quickly to what I'd say was a correct reading.
Upon further talking to the seller, who does offer me a refund option, he
stated when this XA behaved in this manner in the past, the exposures were
still
correct.
