My current favorite right now is a metal tool box from Lowe's out here
in Southern California. $25.00 complete with foam. They call it a tool
box, but it is metal case about the size of a Pelican 1500. Has a tool
holder pouch thing under the foam in the top which is removable
It is cheap and strong, but it does look like too much of a camera
case!!
I got a similar one from Harbor freight www.harborfreight.com some time
ago and it was dark grey. I use them to store video and audio and
camera gear in the office and on jobs where security is not an issue.

I'm currently using a wine cooler bag as well.
In conjunction with a 6pack cooler bag and a hard plastic box.
Much cheaper than buying a fancy doodaad lowepro bag and just as good -
if you're willing to cut yourself a few squares of foam inserts.
Though I have to admit the lowepro minitrekker is beginning to look
increasingly tempting...

Hi Wayne:
I think that your cooler bag might be worth a picture. Very funny, but
if it
works- it works.
