I'm coming in on the end of this thread, so if this is a repeat, I apologize.
In another life, part of what I did for the university where I was employed
was to take pictures of the summer band and cheerleader camps. I would
photograph late in the day to get more pleasing lighting, use a several strobes
which had slave triggers on them for fill and would photograph from a coaches
stand at the football field. Now that may not tell you much, however I would
elevate myself either on a ladder or perhaps from the roof of a one story
building
with a flat roof (like a walkway maybe). Spending all summer doing these
camps and then having to print the hundreds of prints of the groups and the
individual teams is part of the reason, I pursued a career in sales. So my
best
piece of advice is to not get too good at this, it might drive you away from
your photography, but then today I would shoot it digitally & print the image
on
a printer. Hey, that doesn't sound too bad, maybe I ought to give it another
