I have used the PanF in both DD-X and Perceptol Ilford developers. I like the
results from the Perceptol a bit better in terms on range of tones and improved
acuity. The DD-X is a GREAT developer. The Perceptol is supposed to be the
D-76 equiv., I think? Not quite sure there, but with a high dilution (1:14)
one gets slightly larger grain, but nothing to even comment on. The improved
acuity more than makes up for it.
Either way, you can't go wrong with PanF.
