This question comes up every few months. AFAIK, there is no direct
comparison anywhere. I came almost this close in getting one, so I can
compare with the Zuiko 40/2, but I changed my mind at the last minute.
However, since the Ultron is a modern design and the rest of the CV lens
line gets high marks so it stands to reason that it will be better than the
Zuiko 40/2, especially wide open. The Zuiko 40/2 is not a great performer,
especially at F/2.
The major downside with the CV is that it is larger, probably no smaller
than the Zuiko 50/1.8, and that the focus ring turns the wrong (Nikon) way.
I love my Zuiko 40/2 because of its small size and it is good enough for
most cases. I wish it is as sharp as the 50/2 though :-)
