I did not have the "mirror" box ticked but that certainly solved the
problem. The ccd sensors are above the holder and that is why they say
emulsion side up. Otherwise, it has to scan thru the base and it would make
the focus soft (although maybe not noticeably so.) Probably degrade the scan
somewhat as well.
