Some time ago we had a rather dynamic thread about foul-weather clothing and
I have no wish to restart that. There is a fabric on the market now that
stretches, is windproof, and resists water and snow very well. It's called
Schoeller Cloth and comes from Switzerland. I have a jacket and three pair
of pants made of this stuff and really like them all. The reason I mention
this is because there is a pair of Black Diamond Alpine Pants on E*BAY and
the price is still low. These retail at $208. The auction ID is
3652800541 or the link is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3652800541&category=30107
&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=1
I bought mine from a different seller (also in Salt Lake City) and have no
experience with this one.
