We have managed to keep rabies out of the UK for a fair number of years
now Gary. Just as well really: my brother had to have the 16
injections in his stomach muscle about 30 years ago when he was bitten
in Calcutta by a pet mongoose that died shortly threafter.
I gather the treatment is a little less severe now, but the disease
isn't.
