Thanks, Moose - I don't think it's any of those things, as it looks that
way in color - right out of the camera - as well. I think it's an effect
of the use of bounced flash, quite bright late afternoon sunlight
outside, and the white curtains behind the bride.

Excellent candids! One odd effect, in _c271181-58512.jpg, where it looks
like the bride, and to a lesser extent, the woman with the camera, were
dropped in against a background. Maybe something about sharpening, B&W
conversion or downsizing.
