I promise this is the last time I'll offer this lens here.
I have a Kiron 80-200 fixed-aperture f4 up for sale. It's a one-touch
(push-pull) zoom and it does NOT creep. It has the correct
snap-on plastic hood which can be reverse-mounted, and two generic caps. The
aperture is snappy and it is a sharp lens. (As sharp
as my ex-Zuiko 135/3.5 but not quite as sharp as my ex-Series1 90.) It's
multi-coated too, giving off 4 colors: green, red, purple,
and yellow reflections. Kirons are said to have a Nikkor-like cool look. It
takes 55mm filters.
Now the bad news: The front element suffered a ~2mm glancing scratch to the
coatings. I can not feel it when I wrap my finger in
lens tissue. It's a scratch in the coatings, not on the glass. As John Lind's
site says, a front element flaw is not fatal whereas
a rear element flaw may be. Review the 1st paragraph about the sharpness of
this lens.
There's more: The filter ring has a moderate dent in it. I've threaded 55mm
filters on there (and off again) but neither party was
happy about that. It's not a big deal but like Tom Scales says, I describe my
items completely.
Now for the good news: $20 US plus shipping. You guys know this is a great
user lens but on ebay, man, no one would bid! Please
respond off-list to

All the best,
Lama
