Hi Gordon,
Welcome to the list.
The list is just passing though one of the occational "wars" currently. As a
veteran of both the "SUV" and "Oben" wars I can say that this too shall pass.
Just ignore the abuse or follow it for the entertainment value as you please.
Usually there is a good sense of community on the list. Sometimes some
members even extend it to the real world.
