Welcome Gordon,
Zuikoholism is a nice disease, you get to know fellow 'Olympians' and can go
on a common quest for the last of the 3Ti's and meet eachother on new years
day, discussing what the strange bulge under the leatherette of a 3ti (on
the spot where the 4 has the self timer) could be.
I have been through the 'adding phase' and am now in my 'paring down phase',
and albeit slowly, I am managing to get the 'collection' down to a nice
package. The nice thing of the OM-line is that it is very comprehensible and
has a finit number of lenses and bodies. I went for the large apertures and
however a bit heavier, I like their performance. And compared to other
brands, they are still small and light. The 21f2 has become my standard
lens, along with the 35-80f2.8.
I have been looking at digital SLRs but I am patient, not in a hurry, so I
can buy a lot of film and scan it for a fraction of the cost, with known
quality. And the OM3-4 light metering still has no comparison!
And photography is all about catching light, isn't it?
Iwert.
