My c5050 came in the mail today, just about in time for Christmas.
I took it all out of the box this evening, looked it all over...... put it
all back in the box, got out my OM2s, Tokina ATX 28-85 and Zuiko 35/2.8,
and what I now realize is my crappy tripod :-), and went out and shot some
slides of Christmas lights.
I suppose I'll have to actually use it sometime. But it just doesn't have
the look or feel of a camera. I thought I knew what I was getting, because
I've looked at them in the camera store. Everyone told me I'd really like
one. I guess there is something I must be missing.
Why don't I feel excited, like when the OM1n or 2s arrived in the mail?
sigh.
Even the manuals that come with it seem "cheapy". If you ever did judge a
book by its cover, the manual for this thing would get an F. I mean, the one
that came with the Epic 2.8 is also cheapy, but its to be expected maybe
because its a cheap P&S. This thing costs serious money, and they didn't
even make a glitzy manual for it. I got a more durable manual with my Oly 35
RC in 1973.
Huh?
No, I haven't actually taken a picture with it yet.
Okay, maybe tomorrow, or the next day, I'll try it out.
I can change, if I have to, I guess.
