I think your apology is unnecessary Greg.
Your own bidding is a good example to follow - a low bid signifies awareness
and interest, and should act as a marker to the rest of us of same, but no
indication of the final price you might be willing to pay. Absent any bids,
I think it is reasonable to assume that the item hasn't been spotted (a
listing error, a spelling mistake in the title maybe?), or is of no interest
to those who have spotted. If you think it is worth a look, by all means
say so. I have Tom Trottier to thank for a good deal that he alerted the
list to in jst that way, and I have tried to reciprocate that approach (as
well as indicating my own interest in other auctions, as described).

Subject: [OM] Was OT: Tokina AT-X 28-85 no bids; now "apologies"
My sincerest apology to anyone who was lurking on this auction. I didn't
mean to interfere with anyone's bidding strategy or cause it to get bid up.
I guess I should have realized that at least one member of the list had
noticed this lens, just didn't want it to go to one of the "great unwashed
masses." In the future, I'll keep quiet.
Best to all,
Greg
