IMO, this is a problem more discussed than experienced,
particularly if a little care is exercised. As an example, my
TOPE 15 was shot with a 17mm lens and a not-thin-mount Tiffen
circular polarizer. It's the first shot in the fourth row down in
the Landmarks TOPE, if you want to take a look.
