Nils,
the best batteries for OM2 are SR44 (silveroxide).
Even a bit more expensive then the LR44's, but the are more constant and
last longer. They cost a bit (about 4 euros a piece here) but compared to
modern digital and film bodies, they are a bargain!
(a roll of velvia also costs about 10 euros...)
