About a month ago, I put my T32 on my bounce grip and found that the
flash was hanging by its wires. The part of the foot that has fix-> had
broken. Since I had heard that replacing that part was moderately easy,
and since both instructions and parts diagrams are available on Mark
Dapoz' wonderful site, I found the part number, and called Olympus
America. After bouncing through phone mail options for a while, I found
the consumer parts place. I asked for two of part cb260800 (because I
also had an *bay special with the same problem) the lady said "We'll
ship it out with an invoice for $10." "Send us the money when you get
the parts."
The parts came today, and my check goes out tomorrow. In the mean time,
I went from having two broken T32's to having two working T32's. The
technical term for this is "woohoo!"
A much better experience than working on my OM4T, which Clint knows as
carcass D-548.
P.S. Evidently Olympus has not trashed all of their repair parts...
Thanks, Steve Goss, Dallas Tx usa
