I had a nice Thanksgiving break reading this list. I'm sorry for
contributing so much OT material.
I wanted to mention something while it's on my mind. I find that I take
a lot more pictures with my digital than I almost ever have shooting
film. In Jr. High I probably shot this much. I used to burn through
bricks of slide film. The thing is, I don't have a very good digital
and it almost doesn't matter, in a way. I have a goofy little Fuji 3800
that I was given for Christmas last year. It is almost unusable in a
dimly lit room. The finder and back screen can be jacked up, but that
means scrolling through menus. Not exactly a Lei*a moment when a guy
fumbles through menus for 30 seconds before shooting. It gets all
groovy when you let the exposures drag out, though. This is one of my
teachers:

Anyway, I shoot a lot. I'd make the switch to something like an E-1 if
it were a little less pricey. I'll bet it would be great.
