Hi George,
I never saw an S1 card. When it came time to fill out my application
for student deferment my sophmore year, I couldn't do it and went out
and enlisted. It was a divisive time, everyone our age had to make
their own decision what to do. I hope mine was made wisely, but I would
do it again.
OM content: Well not OM but Olympus. My last battery commander had an
Olympus half frame camera. I don't remember which one. It has been a
long time. I used a little Yashica Atoron with the Minox film cartridges.

Jerry,
Did you ever notice many, not all, of those 1-S classification draft cards were a pale
shade of yellow?
Just to stir the pot a bit :-)

And, for the very same reasons, I enlisted in the Army.

And for me too. With friends coming home talking of Mai Lai (sp?) or
in a box that student deferment looked pretty good.
