The OM-1MD in question has the old style back ( old pressure plate, old
film cassette pressure plate), so I am almost certain that it is the
original back; paint matches too. The highest serial number for a non -n
OM-1 that I have is an OM-1 from November '77 with serial number #13780xx.
The oldest OM-1n I have has serial number 13109xx. So a serial number of
#2127492 seems very high, unless it is a special number range for spare
bottom plates.

I think it's more likely that the back on the MD was swapped for one from
an
older model. Easier to chage backs than bottom plates.
