I honestly did not think this would happen but...............
Having said we would be keeping our Canon 10d and 300d, we have taken the
descision to invest in another E-1 body/lenses etc and replace the canon
equipment.
There are a number of reasons, but mainly they are excellent quality images
time after time and also the sharpness accross the frame, which we have no
managed to achieve consistently with the 10d.
I shot some pictures at the weekend - handlheld at 1/13 sec and they were a lot
sharper than I have experienced using the 10d with the image stabilising lens.
There are other fators like the 100 0.000000OV compared to about 95% with the
canon, the larger frame buffer and in my opinon, better colour.
In fact all the pictures shot at the weekend could be printed with NO post
processing at all - I have never been able to do that up till now and beleive
me when I say - I am VERY fussy on results - our reputation depends on it.
So this morning, I have ordered the 2nd body and 14-54 lens and will be selling
ALL our Canon gear.
I also did some test shots with the three lenses we have to compare image
sharpness and will post these hopefully later today - I also did a 10d
comparison wirth these too, which contributed towards the descision to replace
the 10d and lenses.
I am getting results consitently with the E-1 that equals and betters the
results with the 10d and L lenses and to get the 10d images to look as good, I
have to dio a lot of work in PS to get there.
So - one very happy E1 owner.
I have a few minor gripes with the camera, but nothing major.
Best wishes.
