You might try a Tamron SP 24-48 f3.5-3.8 instead. Results are fine, it goes
wider, and I think that the quality is better. Can be difficult to find the
lenshood and the lenscap if they do not come with the lens.
All is well, if you have the proper hood and lenscap, until you get ready to
use a filter. Then you will need 77mm size filters as opposed to the 49mm
required for the 28-48 Zuiko and half the other Zuikos you own. Don't even
think
about your Cokin P filters (remember the specific to the lens bayonet mount
cap). I'm not knocking the 24-48mm Tamron, as I have one and love it, however
it does have its limitations. I also own the 28-48mm Zuiko and there are
certainly many good aspects on this lens. Comparing the two is not comparing
apples to apples IMHO. Find the hood for either is a royal pain in the A##.
