Sorry for the bandwidth about this OT. Maybe others out there will find
this useful too. My wife wants to know what the name of the test you
designed is called, and is it available to doctors yet? She works in a
Doctor's office primarily with an older population. Wait, I go there!

That's exactly what I was hired to develop that test for. This is usually
familial (or inherited) hyperhcholesterolemia (FH).

What I did was to develop a genetic test that would identify the causative
mutations for FH, so you could segregate folks that have high LDL
cholesterol into two groups: those can control it through diet and
exercise, and those that can't, and have to be put on statins to greatly
reduce their risk of heart attack.
