Hi, Many thanks for all the advice on repairing the little Epic.I'll go the way of the tape etc. I have too much else on at present to considertaking it apart and risking losing vital bits, or me ruining components that have stuck them selves together, if I were to separate them. Andrew Fildes suggestion of windscreen sealant is of some interest but I'm not sure about merit; I know from considerable experience of using the Selleys variant that over time it migrates - which is a good thing for a carwindscreen since it fills those small channels that water uses in its capillary action, and which are otherwise so difficult to find and plug. But it just mightfind its way to the lens as well ;-((Actually I think not since it's not all that fluid, but it IS horribly sticky. Andblack, so it really shows. Cheers, Brian I was thinking of the black silicon based material rather than the really sticky stuff or the heat activated material. It cures quite quickly. I don't think it would migrate too much unless the camera vibrates like a VW!
