Hi,
I have an OM3 and an OM4T. There's a chance that I can do concert photography
for some friends in the future. I was considering HP5 pushed to 1600/3200 for
the OM3, and Provia 400 with a flash in the OM4T. Probably 50/1.4, 90/2, 200/4
for lenses. I think I have that fairly well figured out, and it's all stuff I
know & love.
But what I really feel an urgent need for, is to learn flash photography. I've
postponed this for a long time, only using my small P&S flash for people
sometimes, but now I feel it's time to add this to my spectrum of options. I
would love to be able to use short shutter speed synchro, but the F280 is only
GN28. Particularly using full-synchro, this isn't too high. I know that 3rd
party vendors sell full-synchro flashes for other brands.
Is it possible to use a 3rd party flashes in full-synchro on the OM4T ? If
not, would it be a bad thing to not have full-synchro, except for fill-flash ?
Any suggestions on good flashes I can get 2nd hand ? Non-Oly flashes, though
extreme sacriledge for which I shall punish myself by buying lots of 2nd hand
lenses, are quite acceptable if the feature-GN over price range is higher than
Oly-flashes.
Thanks,
Peter.
