Having seen test results for various lenses from various manufacturers,
including MTF curves on photodo, count me as a skeptic. There's been no
mystical/magical breakthrough in lens technology for a long time. They
could make a valid argument that the OM Zuiko lenses were optimized to
provide an image circle that covers a 35mm format film gate . . . but this
is much different from line pairs per millimeter of optical resolving power
with the exception of a loose (emphasis on "loose") correlation between
ease of lens design and making precision lenses of smaller diameter
compared to larger ones.

Olympus is claiming their new E-1 lenses have greater resolution and
this is a necessity for their new system, as well as one of their
reasons for not offering the OM adapter. I am skeptical about this.
