You have not yet done the test I suggested, which is to take an
auto-exposure shot with the memo function to see what the camera
actually used. During auto-exposure, the exposure is not determined
by any linkage, but simply the light hitting the film. This test should be
easy to do and confirm that there is a linkage problem in the metering
computation. If so, the following should be true:
1. mechanically set exposure based on TTL metering would be off.
2. spot-meter exposure would be off.
3. auto-exposure would be correct, but memo result will be different
than what the pre-exposure display indicates.
I apologize if I have not understood all the facts. If the memo result is
indeed different than the pre-display exposure, you have a test you can
use to prove the improper CLA, since it does not rely on anything but the
OM-4t.
