I've got a very nice 35RC that's completely dead in auto mode, so I suspect
it's a broken wire. Now I've also got an ugly 35RC that was working
perfectly untill yesterday.... I took the bottom off to investigate the
battery compartment and the wire was so corroded that it snapped at first
touch. I strongly suspect corrosion is also the underlying cause of the
other dead RC, so I think I'll do myself a favour and replace most of the
wiring when I'm at it. But then I need to get the top off in order to take
the lens off. Any catches I should know about?
I wagely remember something about small parts flying out from the self
timer, but that may have been another camera. Also what direction should
the self timer and shutter speed wheel unscrew? Clockwise? Widdershins? ;-)
Thanks,
Thomas
