Just recently discovered this place:
<http://www.cameragear.com/default.asp>
and placed a sample order for rear caps, filter stackers and step-up rings.
I never seem to have enough rear caps and the one dollar each price is
what attracted me to this site. I didn't expect very high quality at a
buck apiece but they are good enough to be quite serviceable.
The rear caps are a bit peculiar in that they exactly duplicate the
flange pattern on the body. This means, like a lens, you have to align
the dots before it fits. The caps have a small white dot to assist the
alignment.
The filter stackers are usable metal caps but the threads don't seem to
be polished. They screw on and off easily enough but with a very slight
grating feel which tells you that there are microscopic burrs.
All of this stuff to this point was of unbranded Indian origin. The
exception was the step-up ring. I ordered the "best quality" at $5
which turned out to be Kenko brand. Very nicely finished, no
microscopic burrs.
ps: If you order any 5 or more items you get a 10 0iscount which you
must explicitly request.
Enjoy,
