I second this. It is **all** about light, whether you are composing
something completely abstract, impressionistic, surreal or striving for
complete realism. "Rembrandt" lighting for portraiture isn't called that
without good reason. Within photography, light is the ***only*** thing
film records and it's the ***only*** thing that reveals subjects' shapes
and textures.
