I've been keeping an eye out for a wider lens to add to my equipment. I'm fond
of zoom lenses, as I like to shoot a lot when I travel and its much easier to
tote around a couple of zooms than a bag full of fixed glass. Since the Zuiko
zoom doesn't go this wide, I've decided on Tamron (also, I doubt my wallet go
wide enough for a Zuiko).
After some searching around at the online shops, eb*y, and google, I've come
across what looks like the steal of the century on ebid.be (a Belgian auction
site). Other than the specifications, there was no description of the lens
condition, so I sent off an e-mail to the seller. He has responded that the
lens is in excellent shape, but that he's selling it because he just bought a
new Nik*n and the lens is for a C*n*n. Even if it were in "bargain condition"
it would still be underpriced.
Do you think he's just dumb or its some kind of scam?
Since he won't ship internationally, I'm going to have to make some arrangement
to have it shipped to someone in Belgium who can reship it to me. I just want
to make sure it will be worth the effort.
