I just have my 35mm OM system gear. Basta. Will certainly
never get myself a Medium Format outfit. Too heavy and
chunky for what I want to/need to do in photography. Will
probably get myself a digicam eventually.
But as long as there are 35mm films and processing
possibilities at reasonable cost, I'll be shooting 35mm.
Just the other day I got convinced of that again:
At the childrens birthday of my little nephew girl I left
my OM at home, thinking that chances to get some really
good pics would be low anyway. And I wanted to have my
hands free for playing with the kids, etc. I nevertheless
ended up shooting with the P*ntax Espi0 of my sister. And I
got so annoyed how slow that P&S camera reacts: Either it
was not flash-ready or the zoom wouldn't move quick enough,
ot there was something that I could not figure... I cannot
count the times when I triggered that it would do nothing
or do it too late. I really missed the quickness and
"directness" of the OM. All these electronic cams are
pretty useless IMO when you need to be quick and ready.
35mm rules for me.
