The option had occured to me Jim - thanks - but I had heard somewhere
that it's not quite as bright and the local Beattie dealer here
charges 2.5 times the price that 2-13's were listed for (about $100
as against $40 for the real thing!). I had definitely put the idea
second in the queue!
Hadn't realised that it was diagonal like a 1-14 - that IS interesting!

If you cn't find a 2-13 you could always get a Beattie split screen.
I use one fro sports stuff and really like it, very bright, and the
45 deg split is more usable than a horizontal one. I believe the
John at Camtech has them, as do a number of other online sources. I
would think that most larger camera stores could order you one as
well.
