Yes and No. The 1:1 is meaningful when comparing within a format. A half
size macro will fill the frame in the E1 to approximately the same
extent as a 1:1 would fill the frame in a 35. So in reality the working
distance is doubled, even though its no longer 1:1. What you care about
is the framing ... not the actual image to subject ratio.
Too bad the 135/4.5 + 1.4X TC was too dim to use very easily.
Carrying a 250/2 for macro shots in the field would take real dedication
(and maybe an assistant or donkey to carry the load). Wow, your macro
kit must have been picked out by a body builder.
